Sports Medicine & Pain

Sports medicine acupuncture can be precise, targeted and comfortable.

Years ago, the sports medicine and pain treatments I personally received were intense. I often left with clammy hands and feet and feeling uncomfortable.

A fellow acupuncturist connected me with Whitfield Reaves, a practitioner and educator specializing in sports medicine acupuncture. I entered his first weekend course with some apprehension, but left with an entirely different perspective and went on to complete an extensive mentorship in sports medicine and pain acupuncture.

Supporting Athletic Performance

Treatment begins with understanding your injury, symptoms and

how your body moves. Coreen combines an anatomical approach

with acupuncture techniques tailored to the muscles, tendons,

joints and other structures involved.

Depending on your needs, treatment may also incorporate:

• LED light therapy
• topical applications and stretching
• gua sha
• moxibustion

Your treatment plan is individualized and reassessed as your symptoms,

activity level and goals change.
