Sports Medicine & Pain

Sports medicine and pain treatments can be precise, effective and pain-free

Years ago, the sports medicine and pain treatments I personally received were intense–I found myself with balmy hands and feet, and felt uncomfortable.

A fellow acupuncturist connected me with a wonderfully gifted practitioner, Whitefield Reaves, who was teaching in the Bay Area. While I entered his first weekend course with some apprehension, I walked out a convert and signed up for an extensive mentorship in sports medicine and pain acupuncture.

Supporting Athletic Performance

Sports medicine and pain treatments can be precise, effective and pain-free if

  • you understand the anatomy,

  • have a proper diagnosis and assessment,

  • and target the correct muscles, tendons, joints

We employ the use of an LED panel when appropriate to help set off a metabolic cascade of events that helps promote healing.

We also like employ the following during our treatments:

  • topicals and stretching

  • gua sha

  • and moxibustion
